About Miami-Dade County Criminal History

No single office holds a complete Miami-Dade County criminal history. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, County Corrections, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search each answer a different question. This privately operated guide explains those boundaries and directs readers to the appropriate official website, counter, or telephone contact.

Why We Built This Site

Florida's public-access framework does not turn these materials into one unified file. Sheriff arrest forms and incident reports remain with MDSO, booking and detention records belong to Miami-Dade Corrections, and the Clerk maintains filed charges, docket activity, and case outcomes. FDLE Criminal Justice Information Services supplies the statewide repository layer; the Florida Department of Corrections and state offender registry cover separate correctional and registration subjects. This site brings the researched access methods, fees, contacts, and request procedures into one navigable reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Request contacts: where Miami-Dade sheriff, Clerk, Corrections, and state offices accept inquiries
  • Record-relief orientation: which Florida offices participate in sealing and expunction
  • Case-search guidance: how to locate and interpret Miami-Dade criminal court case records
  • Official history options: how an FDLE name search differs from personal review and fingerprint-based channels

What We Cannot Do

This privately operated reference site is not a Florida court, law-enforcement office, corrections department, or state agency. Accordingly:

  • We do not issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or other official copies
  • We cannot submit a public-record request, expunction petition, or other filing for a reader
  • We do not retrieve individual records or perform official criminal-history checks
  • We cannot advise anyone how Florida law applies to a particular case or charge
  • We cannot guarantee that an agency has not revised its fees, hours, address, or telephone number

Only the record custodian, including MDSO, the Clerk, Corrections, or FDLE, can provide its official copy. This guide can point to that custodian, but it cannot produce the document.

Search Partners

Independent companies operate the search tools displayed on certain pages and determine their own products, results, and pricing. If a visitor purchases a service after following one of those tools, this site may receive a referral payment. We neither establish the provider's fee nor control the information its service returns.
